SUMMER CAMP FOR KIDS
From August 13 to 15, 2025, Olive Community Development Initiative (OCDI) hosted a three-day summer camp for adolescent girls focused on building resilience, confidence, and practical life skills in a safe and supportive environment.

From Wednesday, August 13 to Friday, August 15, 2025, Olive Community Development Initiative (OCDI) successfully organized a three-day summer camp for adolescent girls under the theme “Rising Above Fears, Building Resilience and Self-Esteem.”
The camp featured a blend of practical skills training and life-building sessions designed to equip participants with tools for personal growth and self-reliance. The girls received hands-on training in soap making, photography, fabric painting, and online and digital marketing. These sessions encouraged creativity while introducing income-generating skills.
In addition to the practical activities, participants engaged in interactive discussions on confidence, self-esteem, menstrual hygiene, and personal development. The program created a safe and inclusive space for girls from diverse communities to connect, share experiences, and learn from one another.
Through this initiative, OCDI reinforced its commitment to empowering adolescent girls with the skills, knowledge, and confidence needed to overcome challenges and thrive as future leaders. The organization also appreciates the facilitators, partners, and team members whose support contributed to the success of the summer camp.
